Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the almighty, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
David Mros, Pastor
Dave surrendered to preach in 1989 at Palmetto Baptist Temple, Columbia SC under the guidance of his Pastor, Darell Wood. After serving the Lord there and receiving his biblical training under Dr. Frank Sells, Dave and his wife, Kathy were called as missionaries in 2000 to minister to the US military and their families in Heidelberg, Germany.
After planting a local church overseas, they returned to the states, in 2008 where Dave served for 4 years as the Assistant Pastor at Good News Baptist Church In Chesapeake, VA. In 2012, they moved to Burlington, NC and Dave accepted the pastorate at HICO Baptist Church, where he currently serves today.
Dave retired as a Captain from the US Army, after serving our country from 1971-1994 both as an enlisted service member and as an officer. He and his family then resided in Columbia, SC until the Lord called them to the mission field.
Dave and Kathy are both from St.Louis, MO, and have been married for 43 years. Kathy is a also a registered nurse and worked at Palmetto Baptist, both as a school teacher and the church secretary. They have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren, 2 cats, and 28 backyard chickens.
Dave and Kathy both were saved in their mid-20’s. Dave was raised a Roman Catholic and Kathy was raised in the Presbyterian faith. Dave’s life verse is Philippians 1:21 and Kathy’s is Psalms 121:1-2.
